"Diluted" at worst, in that if you don't give a damn about the "interactive adventure" bits and are in it just for the shooting, it's a bit thin on the ground, but some of the action-packed set-pieces are superb. On Hard, it does reward sharp reflexes and precision and I wouldn't quite call it slow paced. the gunplay is exactly what it should be. Of course I don't expect DSE to have anything as good as The Mercenaries up its sleeve, but its meat and potatoes, i.e. At this point I must say the only things RE4 did better are the monster animations and some bossfights.
